Natural Gas

In deregulated states (IN), you can use alternate natural gas suppliers. Your current utility continues to deliver the natural gas, maintain the distribution system, respond to emergencies and read meters. The reasons most customers do seek alternate suppliers are (a) lower prices and (b) price stability not available with utilities.

If you are currently customers of Citizens Gas, NIPSCO and Vectren, you have competitive options. Our Cost Stewardship Program is Nymex EOM spot rate + 50 cents. Nymex +50 is offering superior returns to conventional utilities (see chart).

Churches with >30,000 therms/3,000 dktrm of usage are best candidates for savings. To get a free evaluation, we need the following:
• Twelve month usage history (by therms, dekatherms or cubic ft)
• Your current address or utility supplier name

Should you join the program we ask for a good faith participation fee of one penny per therm (most would pay $300 to $600 @ year). For churches in need, we can and will discount participation costs.

Last, if you are paying sales tax on your national gas bills we can improve your costs another 7%. Churches with both Nymex + and sales tax eliminations will hope to achieve 20% to 25% savings.
